Are you a faculty member, lecturer, TA or a graduate student in the Humanities, Musicology or History Department? If yes, then this event is for you! We would like to warmly welcome you to come talk about the EPIC Program and take part in a Small Changes, Big Impact workshop. We will be serving some breakfast and lunch, so grab a bagel and let’s talk about pedagogy! Please let us know by Friday, October 13, if you can join us.

You can view the flyer and RSVP here.

Small Changes, Big Impact
Based on the research and techniques outlined by James Lang in his book Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons From the Science of Learning (2016) this workshop will focus on small-scale activities instructors may use in order to guide students towards understanding and critically engaging with course materials. These small interventions can be implemented at any point during the quarter and are designed to be adaptable across disciplinary fields.

This workshop is part of a series that will be offered by the EPIC Program throughout the year and will specifically address strategies to help undergraduate student instruction in the Humanities. The workshop will be led by Dr. Lisa Felipe, EPIC Program Director.
