Isaac Gimenez Garcia

Isaac Gimenez has a degree in Translation and Interpreting and is a current doctorate student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UCLA. His research interests include contemporary Brazilian poetry and representations of rural Brazil. He approaches his teaching using an intersectional framework that acknowledges the different identities and experiences brought into the classroom, and hopes to further develop a pedagogical style that creates a space through which the dynamics of power and difference can be engaged in respectful and meaningful ways.
