Graduate Student, Comparative Literature

Brandon Archambault is a PhD student in Comparative Literature, where he studies contemporary indigenous literatures of Mexico and the Andes. His current research discusses 20th century writing in Nahuatl and Kichwa/Quechua, ideologies of multilingualism and monolingualism and the use of indigenous-language literatures in national myth-making. He is particularly interested in how community learning can be used to support and popularize indigenous languages and literatures outside the confines of academic pursuits.
