Cailey Hall
Graduate Student, English, UCLA
Cailey Hall is a PhD candidate in the English department at UCLA. Her research takes place at the intersection of British Romanticism, environmental and medical humanities, and critical food studies. Cailey’s dissertation, “Visceral Romanticism: The Literature and Culture of Digestion” argues that the bowels are the Romantic period’s paradigmatic organ: a somatic and figurative space that connects body, environment, and literal as well as literary consumption.
