Gina Lorenz is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of French and Francophone Studies. Her dissertation project, titled “Humanizing the Clash: Cultures of Connection in the Medieval Mediterranean,” examines interfaith human networks in French and Arabic travel narratives written during the Crusades.
