Lecturer, Linguistics  

I hold an M.A in Linguistics from Damascus University, M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from CSU East Bay, and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from UCLA. Currently I teach as a lecturer in the Linguistics Department at UCLA where I teach courses in linguistics and applied linguistics. My research interests include first language acquisition, second language learning, language pedagogy, and language and identity.
