Laurel Westrup

Laurel Westrup is a Continuing Lecturer in Writing Programs at UCLA, where she also teaches with the Honors Program. Before joining Writing Programs, Laurel earned her Ph.D. in Cinema and Media Studies from UCLA’s Department of Film, Television, and Digital Media. She is co-editor with David Laderman of Sampling Media (Oxford UP, 2014), and her work on media and popular music has also appeared in several journals and edited collections. Laurel currently serves as the Coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Writing Pedagogy at UCLA.
