Michael Cohen

Michael C. Cohen is associate professor of English at UCLA. He specializes in nineteenth-century American literature, poetry and poetics, and the history of reading and education, and is the author of The Social Lives of Poems in Nineteenth-Century America (2015), and the co-editor of The Poetry of Charles Brockden Brown (2019). He has previously participated in several rounds of curriculum review, funded by the Mellon Foundation, for the English department’s undergraduate majors. He has taught at UCLA since 2011.
