In May 2013, Nedda Mehdizadeh earned her Ph.D. from The George Washington University in Washington, DC with an emphasis on early modern trade and travel. Her research and pedagogical interests center on issues of race and ethnicity, travel and encounter, and diversity studies. She is a Full-time Lecturer in Writing Programs, predominately teaching undergraduate and graduate courses that center on diversity and inclusivity. She is currently working on her book manuscript, “Translating Ancient Persia: Safavid Iran and Early Modern English Writing.”
