Simos Zenios (PhD in Comparative Literature; Harvard University, 2018) holds the position of Lecturer in Modern Greek Studies at the Department of Classics at UCLA. His research focuses on the representation of power and violence in the literature and thought of the Romantic period. His classes cover, among others, topics such as tragedy, classical reception, the politics of mourning. As an EPIC-Mellon fellow, Simos aims to enrich his Greek-language courses with the pedagogy of community learning.
