A morning of valuable perspectives from community leaders in AAPI mental health, including Dr. Helen Hsu, current lecturer at Stanford University and president of the Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA), and Dr. Benjamin Woo, Associate Clinical Professor at DGSOM who has been featured on 100+ radio shows speaking about mental health topics on the only Cantonese radio station in Los Angeles, KMRB AM1430. Also featuring Dr. Rona Hu, Medical Director of the Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Unit at Stanford Hospital and creative leader in API intergenerational communication who has created theatrical vignettes to start necessary conversations.
AAPI Mental Health Conference will explore the intersection of mental health and AAPI culture and history, with the mission of sparking conversations, addressing stigma, and empowering attendees with actionable opportunities for community engagement. Our conference will give current and future health professionals a platform to discuss the long-overlooked topic of mental health together during a day of empowerment, community-building, and networking through speakers, workshops, and socials.
